One Response to “What is the difference between FTA and FTC as far as criminal charges go?”

  1. rickinnocal says:

FTA is “Failure to Appear”, which means you got a court date and didn’t show up.

I’ve never heard of “FTC” as a charge.

    EDIT

“Arrested for: 16.19.103 FOJ OTHER / ARREST VIOL PROT ORD Bail: $0.00
Arrested for: 16.19.103 FOJ OTHER / FTC ASSAULT Bail: $3,000.00″

FOJ is “Fugitive, Other Jurisdiction”. He has warrants for his arrest from Fort Collins (FTC), one for violating a protective order, and one for assault. The violation is no-bail, the assault has a $3,000 bail.

“Arrested for: 2.08.320 GREELEY MUNI FTA / 2.08.320 GREELEY MUN Bail: $500.00
Arrested for: 2.08.320 GREELEY MUNI FTA / 2.08.320 GREELEY MUN Bail: $300.00
Arrested for: 2.08.320 GREELEY MUNI FTA / 2.08.320 GREELEY MUN Bail: $300.00″

2.08 is failure to pay Greeley municipal court. FTA is Failure to Appear.

“Arrested for: 18.6.803 RESTRAINING ORDER VIOLATION / 18.6.803 RESTRAINING Bail: $0.00″

18.6.803 is as it says – violation of a restraining order. This, too, is a no-bail.

He’s sitting in jail for a while.

From the list of similar charges, it seems he just “doesn’t get it”. People who violate protective orders and restraining orders repeatedly are seen by the courts as dangers to their victims, and tend to draw long terms.
